I recently replaced my 25 year old maple cutting board with a black walnut cutting board. I wanted a dark wood to match my dark cabinets. I researched several top end cutting boards and this seemed to best the best value and well like by those that had purchased it. So far I am very happy. I also purchased the beeswax/oil to keep the board in good condition.
Excellent product. I looked everywhere for a 2' thick butcher block cutting board with a dark finish and just couldn't find one. I'm very happy I was able to find this one. Solid piece with a great finish. Looks great on my granite counter top.

I love my new custom block. I ordered it to provide a work surface over my cararra marble countertop that etches easily. Since I have an open kitchen, it was important to have my block be beautiful and functional. My walnut block looks as fabulous as it is functional. I ordered it with 'feet' and and channels, measured to fit over my sink as well. I couldn't be happier.
